Brenda is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with nearly thirty years’ experience including working in the NHS, voluntary and private sectors. She trained and worked in Cardiff, before returning to her native Newcastle-on-Tyne. Brenda believes that establishing an open, honest and safe relationship with people comes first.
Feedback from clients she has worked with from MOT is that she provides therapy in an informal style, with practical strategies to help people overcome their difficulties.
She has worked with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties including low self-confidence, depression and anxiety related difficulties such as stress, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias and post-traumatic stress disorder. Brenda is trained in CBT, DBT and EMDR. She currently works in private practise as a therapist, trainer and expert witness. She is registered with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist and is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
In order to adhere to safe practice principles Brenda works exclusively with clients resident in the UK.
