Dr Carlos Folchini is a counselling psychologist registered with the HCPC [Health & Care Professions Council] and a member of BPS [British Psychological Society]. He obtained a masters degree in psychoanalytical studies at the University of East London/Tavistock Clinic and another masters degree in psychoanalytical psychotherapy at the University of Colchester/Tavistock Clinic. He obtained his degree in counselling psychology at Regent’s College/University of Wales.

He has wide experience offering supervision and psychotherapy to adults within public and private sectors in the UK. He has worked with clients with different mental health presentations including depression, anxiety, PTSD and its effects on clients’ physical health, relationship difficulties, post-natal depression and bereavement. Carlos is keen on facilitating a safe setting for clients to explore their difficulties in order to broaden their self-awareness and potentialities. He works using psychoanalytic and existential-phenomenological approaches and tailors therapy according to his clients’ needs.

He offers therapy in both English and in Portuguese.
