Deborah Weinstein

Counselling Psychologist

Deborah is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working in the charity sector, the NHS, and the private sector.

Throughout her career Deborah has worked with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and locations, who are looking for a safe space to explore their feelings or anxieties. She has experience working with a wide variety of clinical presentations, such as anxiety, health anxiety, depression, bereavement, trauma, PTSD, childhood abuse, pregnancy and miscarriage trauma and anxiety, post birth trauma, relationship issues, and parenting and family issues.

Deborah works with a number of psychotherapeutic models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), cognitive analytic therapy (CAT), compassion focussed therapy (CFT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), but aims to tailor the therapy to fit the needs of each individual client rather than fitting the client into a particular type of therapy. Deborah believes therapy is a collaborative process where therapist and client can work together to create empowerment and positive change. Therapy can provide the safe space and time needed to facilitate this change.
