Dr Anna Tavoulari is a highly experienced Counselling Psychologist offering a safe and accepting space to explore any difficulties you might be facing at the moment and discover new ways of being. She is passionate about supporting people through their journeys in life. She believes each person is unique and is aim to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet the needs of the individual.
Dr Anna Tavoulari strives to create a collaborative, open and safe space for you to explore your lives and the different opportunities that are available to you. She has a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, an MSc in Psychological Science and a PGDiploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. Dr Anna Tavoulari is a registered with HCPC, MBACP and BPS (CPsychol). She has worked with people from a diverse range of backgrounds. Her experience comes from working within the NHS, charity organisations, university counselling services and private practice. She has trained in several therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy and Mindfulness.
Dr Anna Tavoulari has worked with adults facing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, work and study related stress, social anxiety, bereavement, health related difficulties, relationship difficulties and personality disorders to name a few. The length of therapy will depend on your goals and needs. Therapy can be ongoing and explorative or more short-term and specifically targeted to a current issue. Therapy can help with a variety of issues that people might find themselves having difficulties with like anxiety, depression, stress, confidence and self esteem, loss, trauma, and self-development to name a few. We will work together to establish your goals for therapy and the best way to proceed in working towards them. She enjoys supporting people in transforming their thoughts and perceptions, evolving in terms of the way they approach their lives and discovering their authentic selves so as to lead a productive and meaningful life.
