Dr Bano Hassan is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in a variety of areas, including adult and child mental health, adult neuropsychology, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Having obtained her BSc in Psychology from the University of East London, she went on to complete an MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology at University College London. She was then awarded a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London. She is currently working as a Principal Clinical Psychologist in a specialist service within the NHS.
Dr Hassan has experience of working with clients with a wide range of difficulties and severities, including depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, and relationship difficulties.
She has specialist expertise in delivering Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT & CBT-E), Systemic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
Dr Hassan has a special interest in providing assessments and evidence based psychological interventions for clients with neurodevelopmental difficulties, such as Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder and Autism Spectrum disorder. She can offer therapy in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
