Dr Dominique Newsome is a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Salomans, Canterbury Christ Church University. Dominique has extensive experience of working in the NHS and private settings. She has worked with people of different ages and from diverse backgrounds with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental difficulties.
Dominique has particular expertise in working with emotional dysregulation, interpersonal relationship difficulties, ASD, ADHD, trauma and identity difficulties. Dominique uses an integrative approach (i.e., combination of therapeutic models) to provide an individualised treatment experience to support you with understanding, managing and challenging the difficulties you are experiencing. She draws on a range of models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative therapy and Systemic therapies.
Forming a trusting therapeutic relationship is important to developing a shared understanding of your distress that is respectful of your experiences. Dominique provides a safe, reflective and confidential space to achieve your therapeutic goals.
