Dr Drusilla Joseph is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC. She has extensive experience working across the lifespan (children, teenagers, young adults and older adults) within the NHS in a variety of settings (inpatient, outpatient and the community) with common mental presentations such as anxiety and low mood.
Dr Joseph has a keen interest in Clinical Health (Long Term Physical Conditions affecting Mental Health); such as Chronic pain, Asthma, Functional Neurological Disorders and Medically unexplained Symptoms to name a few. Other areas of expertise include but not limited to helping with emotional and environmental challenges like stress, relationship difficulties, spirituality, culture/identity, attachment challenges and transitions with significant events (loss, school/university).
Dr Joseph specialises in evidenced based practices such as Humanistic/person centered Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), but has an integrative style drawing on many other domains (Compassionate Focused Therapy, Gestalt, Systemic Approach and Solution Focused Therapy) all to tailor to your needs for each session. In line with these modalities she is passionate about meeting you where you are in your lifes’ journey and provides a safe, containing, non-judgmental and empathetic therapeutic space to explore together your underlying difficulties that maybe causing you internal or external distress.
