Dr Heidi Chambers is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC and Chartered with the British Psychological Society. Heidi has worked in mental health services for 14 years and has been a qualified psychologist for 9 years. Heidi has worked with individuals, children, adults and families experiencing a range of difficulties including, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, attachment difficulties and psychosis.
Heidi is an integrative relational psychologist, which means that she uses a range of different approaches to adapt therapy to meet the needs of the client. Heidi has experience of using psychodynamic theory, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy informed approaches and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP).
Heidi has extensive experience of working in the private sector, but has also worked in charities, primary care and the NHS. Most recently, Heidi has managed a team of therapists working with children in residential care and is an experienced supervisor. Heidi is currently developing a private practice, where she provides assessments, formulations and treatments and training to individuals or organisations.
