Dr Jasmine Patel is a Counselling Psychologist with a wide range of experience in a variety of healthcare settings such as the NHS, Charities and Private Hospitals. Dr Patel has extensive experience working in both primary and secondary care settings including Drug and Alcohol Services, Trauma Services and in Forensic Settings.
Dr Patel obtained her BSc in Psychology at The University of Rutgers in America, following this she moved to the UK and completed her MSc in Clinical Psychology at Goldsmiths, University of London. Dr Patel then went on to complete her PhD and was awarded her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Manchester.
Dr Patel has worked with young people and adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties such as depression, anxiety, eating disorder, personality disorder, drug addiction and relationship difficulties. She offers an integrative approach and adapts the way she works that is best suited for the client’s needs.
Dr Patel has expertise in delivering Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy & Dialectic Behavioural Informed Therapy. Dr Jasmine Patel has a special interest in working with BAME, South Asian populations and has a special interest in working with different cultures within a therapeutic setting.
