Dr Liesbeth Tip is a registered Clinical Psychologist and Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience working as a therapist and researcher across a variety of mental healthcare (inpatient and outpatient) settings in both the Netherlands and in the UK, supporting adults as well as children and young people, individually and in group form.
She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has taught on theoretical and practical clinical psychology and Cognitive Behavioural skills courses at the University of Amsterdam, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and University of Edinburgh, where she obtained a PhD on social anxiety and social functioning in psychosis in 2022.
Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy theories and techniques as a basis, she also draws from other therapy types such as compassion-focused therapy, imagery, and mindfulness when this is suitable and can help recovery. Liesbeth aims to support and empower clients and emphasises improvements in quality of life in addition to symptom reduction as outcome of therapy.
