Dr Lisa Dvorjetz
Dr Lisa Dvorjetz is a Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience working with clients from all age ranges and backgrounds with various degrees of mental health issues. Having obtained a BSc in Psychology from Goldsmith’s College, University of London, she went on to be awarded her Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from City University. She has held counselling psychologist posts within the NHS, private and charity sectors, and currently works part-time as a Counselling Psychologist at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust specialising in cancer care.
Dr Dvorjetz has worked with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional difficulties including depression, anxiety, work related stress, post natal depression, and relationship difficulties, and she has particular expertise in working with clients experiencing cancer, palliative care, bereavement and adjustment difficulties.
Dr Dvorjetz uses her integrative training to adapt her therapy to what best suits her clients needs and experiences. Her work draws on a wide range of evidence-based psychological models including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Existential Therapy, as well as Humanistic and Psychodynamic approaches.
Dr Dvorjetz has a particular interest in working with people who suffer from long-term health conditions and how this can impact on psychological wellbeing.
