Dr Lucy Fitton

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Lucy Fitton is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist currently working both in the NHS and independently. She completed her Clinical Doctorate at the University of Oxford where she gained a wealth of clinical, academic, and research experience.

Her BSc and MSc qualifications were completed at the University of Warwick. She has worked with clients across the age range in various settings, from acute in-patient to rehabilitation units and services in the community. This has included working with a variety of clinical presentations ranging in severity from phobias to complex trauma and life-limiting conditions.

Dr Fitton is skilled in completing comprehensive psychological assessments and treatments using a number of therapeutic modalities. These include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Systemic Therapy, Narrative therapy, Emotionally-Focussed therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness Based Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.

She favours an integrative therapeutic approach and aims to find a style of intervention that best suits her client’s presenting difficulties and preferences.

Dr Fitton places the therapeutic relationship at the forefront and strives to offer clients the experience of being empowered through promoting their strengths and resilience.
