Dr Marina Ghiron
Dr Marina Ghiron is a Counselling Psychologist, with extensive experience working with individuals of all age groups across a range of settings, including NHS outpatient and community care. Having obtained her BSc in Psychology with Clinical Psychology from the University of Kent, she went on to complete a Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling at Regent’s University. She was then awarded a Professional Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from City University, and is currently working as a Counselling Psychologist in the NHS and in Private Practice.
Dr Ghiron has worked with a range of mental health problems with adults struggling with various types of emotional distress including depression, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, adjustment difficulties, chronic pain, stress and work related stress, low self-esteem / lack of confidence and sleep difficulties.
She has specialist expertise in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for PTSD, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and offers an integrative approach, tailoring therapy to the client’s needs.
