Dr Neha Matharu

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Neha Matharu is a Clinical Psychologist with vast experience in carrying out psychological assessment and interventions for a wide range of difficulties in the NHS and private sector for adults, young people and families.  Dr Matharu completed her Bsc in Psychology and Criminology at Nottingham Trent University and completed her Masters and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham.  

Dr Matharu has worked across a range of services supporting both children and adults who present with a range of mental health presentations. This includes; depression, anxiety, Obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, stress related difficulties, perinatal difficulties and weight management difficulties. Dr Matharu’s work draws on a wide range of evidence-based psychological models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, Mindfulness approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Personal Construct Psychology (PCP) and Solution Focused Therapy.

Dr Matharu believes in developing a nurturing and safe space for clients where they feel comfortable and safe.  She takes pride in supporting clients on their journey and achieving their therapeutic goals. Dr Matharu has recently become interested in general wellbeing and the evidence base around developing lifestyle change and the lasting positive impact of this.
