Dr Robin Colley

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Robin Colley is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with experience in a variety of mental health roles, working with adults and young people within NHS and private health care services. Robin has obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Psychology at Sheffield Hallam University and a doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Dclinpsy) from the University of Lincoln.

Robin has significant experience working with complex clinical conditions that present across the lifespan, with expertise in assessment, formulation and therapeutic intervention. Robin is confident in working with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, trauma, attachment difficulties, neurodevelopmental presentations, and psychosis.

Robin draws on an eclectic range of evidenced based interventions, as directed by the needs and preferences of the client. Approaches are informed by Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT). Robin is also experienced in adapting approaches for persons with specific needs including autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) and learning disability and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
