Dr Sandra Rasqui

Counselling Psychologist

Dr Sandra Rasqui is a HCPC and BPS registered Counselling Psychologist that has experience working with a wide range of individuals with mild, moderate and more complex mental health needs and disorders. She completed her undergraduate BSc in Psychology at the University of Westminster before completing her doctorate at the University of East London in 2019. Sandra has worked in mental health for over ten years, in a wide range of settings, from charities, private therapy settings and for the NHS.

She has recently worked with high-profile Reality TV celebrities dealing with the pressures of the media world, as well as assisting patients and families on the Covid wards due to the recent pandemic. Sandra is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy, although generally adopts integrative therapy, tailored to the particular needs of the client. She draws on the most up-to-date interventions in her practice, utilising an evidence-based approach for more successful outcomes.

She is warm, empathic and dedicated to assisting others as they cope with unexpected and/or ongoing challenges, to help them rebuild their self-esteem and gain control over their lives. Over the years, Sandra has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and groups with various mental health difficulties, including those struggling with: depression; anxiety; stress; bereavement; addiction; relationship difficulties; bipolar disorder; borderline personality disorder; abuse; PTDS; OCD; and schizophrenia. Sandra speaks four languages fluently, including english, german, spanish and french.
