Dr Sandra Vieira is a HCPC-registered clinical psychologist with extensive experience carrying out psychological assessment and intervention for a wide range of mental health conditions. Sandra obtained her clinical psychology training in Portugal, and holds a masters degree and PhD from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience at King’s College London, where she currently works as a research fellow investigating the early stages of psychosis.
Sandra has experience in working with a wide range of difficulties including anxiety (such as social anxiety, panic disorder and health anxiety), depression, bipolar disorder, obsessive- compulsive disorder, psychosis, personality disorders and eating disorders. She uses evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
Sandra strongly believes in working collaboratively with clients, tailoring intervention to each client’s unique presentation and creating a respectful and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to overcome their challenges and improve their quality of life. She works with clients in English and in Portuguese.
