Susana is qualified and accredited Clinical Psychologist, Chartered member at BPS, HCPC registered, experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families since 2004. Previous experience in the NHS mental health services for Children and adolescents and Adults with a range of conditions. Had an Education and training journey with a solid foundation in behavioural component and interrelation analysis.

Psychotherapy and conducting sessions across community and clinic settings in both public and private sectors and considering a large range of clinical situations (depression; anxiety; PTSD; OCD; sexual abuse; ASD; transgender and other sexual identity disorders; aggression and other forms of challenging behaviour; relationship difficulties or disrupted relationships; suicidal ideation; traumatic bullying; separation and social anxiety; attachment difficulties; social isolation; ADHD; difficulties in grieving process; phobias).

Experience in psychological assessment regarding different clinical conditions. Character and Personality: Being a perfectionist in both my learning and professional development, chasing for the highest standard has been part of my goals as a clinician but also as a human being, constantly available to help others. Dedicated and passionate delivering care and working with patients, assuming the commitment to help and support them overcoming their difficulties and promoting improvement of their skills and abilities to be as independent as possible and enjoy their lives. Has a good ability in relationship with public in general, especially in engaging with children, adolescents and adults and counselling their families. Evidence based interventions used: Psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and systemic theories, CBT, DBT, dynamic and systemic interventions, behavioural activation techniques and ACT, Interpersonal therapy, distress techniques and mindfulness.

Languages: Fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
